Dear Families,

I received a call from a person who is not affiliated with the school and does not have a child here.  She said she was traveling down Nebo School Road with her 10 month old child in her vehicle during morning traffic time when someone pulled out in front of her from the big parking lot and she almost hit them.  She did not have on a turn signal and was not going to turn into the parking lot.  Please remember that everyone isn’t turning into the school parking lot.  A life is worth more than a few seconds wait.  We don’t want anyone getting hurt.  Please be careful.

Please check out the Nebo Elementary Facebook page.  There is a great video one of our teachers shared with me –Only One You.  We watched it at school today.  We want to recognize the unique gifts of each of our children.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every one of our children would ‘Make the world a better place.’  We will be doing a school wide art project related to this book.

Yearbooks will be distributed Friday, May 19.  There are a few for sale that have not been reserved.  The cost is $22. and this will be on a first come, first served basis.  This is a service to students and families to preserve memories for a lifetime.

Students are working hard daily.  We do want to give them some breaks that will be fun for them these last weeks of school.

Field day is an important part of the physical education curriculum.                                     Field Day will be Friday, May 19.  Be sure to wear tennis shoes, comfortable clothes and sunscreen.  Contact Mrs. Wyatt if you could volunteer during field day.

Inflatables will be here May 26.  We do need volunteers to help supervise the inflatables.  Contact Mrs. Poplin if you could help.

Until next time,

Joyce Poplin
