Greetings from Nebo Elementary!  
 
Welcome to the Nebo community!  My name is Desarae Kirkpatrick, and I would like to welcome you to Nebo Elementary School.  Our faculty and staff members are dedicated to continuous academic improvement for the benefit of our students and our community.  Our mission is to provide a safe and caring place where all students acquire the skills necessary to become responsible and productive citizens in a global society.  I challenge you to join us as we carry out the Nebo mission.  Go Nebo Bears!

Yearbook Distribution

Cover of Nebo Elementary Yearbook 2017-18

Yearbooks will be distributed on Thursday, May 24th. There are still yearbooks available for purchase for $22.
Grades 3-5 have the opportunity to attend the Yearbook Signing Party on Thursday afternoon from 2:45-4:00 pm. The cost is $5 and includes a snack. Permission forms and money must be turned in by Wednesday.

Nebo Elementary Teachers Recognized for Top 25% Growth in North Carolina

Ms. Haynes, Mrs. Robinson, Ms. Deal, and Ms Bagwell with their certificates of recognition for top 25% growth in NC.

Four Nebo Elementary Teachers were among those honored at the Board Meeting this week. Heather Haynes, Caitlin Robinson, Ashley Deal, and Ashley Bagwell were recognized as teachers whose students achieved growth in the top 25% in North Carolina. Thank you for your dedication to students and their growth and success!

National Walk & Bike to School Day

Today is National Walk & Bike to School Day! What a beautiful morning for a walk! Participants met at the Nebo Fire Department to start their walk safely to school. School Board Member Bob Brackett was spotted getting his steps in too! Thanks so much to parents, staff, and community for your support and participation! It was a great opportunity to discuss safety and the importance of exercise with students!
